What is Applied Scholastics?

What is Study Technology?

Study Technology (often called Study Tech for short) is the fundamental element in Applied Scholastics. Study Technology helps students develop critical thinking skills and motivates and improves the ability of a student to learn, as well as achieve proficiency in the subject being studied.

Study Technology is not another “study habits for success” or “tips for straight A's.” Study Technology consists of an exact system that teaches one how to learn and can be applied by any teacher, instructor, tutor, parent and student. It includes the identification of specific barriers to learning, the tools to help a student grasp the material being learned and the means to organize the whole learning environment towards better results for the student and anyone helping him or her.

Study Technology is unique in that it enables a student to take more responsibility for and control of one's own learning. It can be used to create an efficient and self-paced learning environment. Not only are parents given additional skills and the means to help resolve learning and comprehension barriers, but also the children themselves are given learning skills to become self-learners. Study Technology makes homework easier, more effective, and it also ensures that the child really understands what he or she is learning and can fully apply what is being studied.

"My son went from hating school, sloppy penmanship, not doing homework or reading, to being excited about school, taking pride in his writing and actually reading outside school hours! Study Technology really does work and puts the student in charge of their studies!"
